Sonic Echoes is an Ambient/Electronic/Progressive/Rock trio based in Wichita, KS. Formed in 2016 like a phoenix from the ashes of various Wichita local bands, Sonic Echoes is the collaborative effort of Blake Weidner (Drums), Brandon Jones (Guitar), and Brian Bontrager (Bass). Taking musical inspiration from artists such as Coheed and Cambria, Dream Theater, Led Zeppelin, Mastodon, Megadeth, Queen, The Rolling Stones and The Pillows, Sonic Echoes found a style that is as eclectic as their tastes… meaning you may hear progressive rock, synth driven instrumentals, and straight ahead pop punk all on the same album. With the release of the first album “The Back of the Dusty Drawer” Sonic Echoes show how they cull from their various musical backgrounds to create a powerful presentation with an engaging combination of styles.
