LALAT

Madrid

It is difficult to find time for rest and relaxation in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. The speed at which events unfold around us prevents us from realising ourselves as human beings.

The hyper-communication that emanates uncontrollably from our mobile phones clouds our consciousness and, like pollution, ends up permeating culture, forcing us to move forward in an endless scroll. No one stops for a second to revel in what is happening right now, to observe and watch, to contemplate the here and now.

It is time to stop, take a deep breath, inhale... exhale... feel the present moment, reflect on who we are and dialogue with our inner self.

Daniel Fernández and Enrique Borrajeros, after years of collaborating on musical projects and specialising in composition for film and television, have questioned this reality and decided to create a place where music connects with the body and the mind. A sonic space for meditation, yoga, healing arts, or simply when we need to slow down and reconnect with our infinite essence, with simplicity.

LALAT in Hindi means front, destiny and luck. It is also the name of one of the oldest and most special ragas in traditional Indian music.

The mysticism that permeates LALAT's sound reflects a kaleidoscopic luminescence, his transcendental music is soothing. The vibrations generated by his songs penetrate every cell of the body, regenerating and aligning it in eternal harmony with the cosmos.

Scattered and concrete electronics, dreamy loops, mantras, rhythms and chords that fill the soul. A constant fusion of tradition and avant-garde, in which elements of traditional Indian music, ambient, drones, tape music, spiritual jazz, progressive, cosmic, psychedelic, electro-acoustic or lofi hip-hop can be found.
