About The Song

“I wanted to create something upbeat that would energize my live show,” Casuccio shares. “As I played around with a chord progression, the melody for ‘This Is My Home, came naturally and so did the story. The lyrics reflect my personal experience of leaving Buffalo to pursue a career in the music industry, and the deep sense of longing I felt for the place where I grew up. And then returning home. From there, the song practically wrote itself.”
While many local artists have sought to craft the next Buffalo anthem, Casuccio’s intent was more personal. “I’m not trying to write the definitive song for the city,” he explains. “I just wanted to honor Buffalo, to express my appreciation and gratitude for everything it’s given me.”
